INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS
MISSIONS AT RENOVATION CHURCH
At Renovation Church, our mission is: “to follow Jesus and help others do the same.” And we want to do that not only here in the Twin Cities, but around the world! We believe this is best done by helping to establish or strengthen local church ministries in various areas around the world with the goal of establishing locally sustained and locally propagating church communities. With that in mind, our first focus is on sending and supporting long term missionaries to strategic parts of the world. Secondly, we provide short term support teams when our missionaries request help to accomplish a goal in their local context that would benefit from the unique gifts that a team of Americans can provide. Lastly, we partner with evangelistic organizations, like SHINE Ministries and Steiger International, that partner with local churches to reach whole cities with the gospel around the world.
We also support The Timothy Initiative, an organization that plants house churches in unreached areas around the world, and the Deaf Bible Society, an organization that provides video bible translations in many of the world’s signed languages, thus reaching deaf communities (the largest unreached group of people in the world!) with God’s word!
RECENT TRIPS
ETHIOPIA
The main focus of this trip was to share the Gospel with as many people as possible through sharing our testimonies in various venues where many, many people who don’t know Jesus gather.
We worked with local Ethiopian churches to put on outreaches in outdoor markets, parks, and schools with music and dancing. At these sites, we got to share our testimonies!
At the end of the week, we assisted in facilitating a 3-day large scale evangelistic outreach concert where tens of thousands heard the gospel.
Best of all, anyone that wanted to give their life to Jesus was immediately connected with a pastor from their local area so that they can continually be discipled long after our return to the US!
MOZAMBIQUE
In July of 2023, we sent a team of 22 people from Renovation to partner with SHINE Ministries and 1400 local church leaders in Nampula, Mozambique. They participated in several days of street preaching and person-to-person evangelism where our Renovation team led 1800 people to Christ.
They also provided training for 300 local pastors, a seminar for local Christian business leaders, and multiple festivals for hundreds or youths. The week concluded with a massive evangelistic outreach gathering with live music from both Mozambique and the Twin Cities.
By the end of the week, the whole event presented the gospel to over half a million people in Nampula and connected over 90,000 new believers with the local pastors to continue the work of ongoing discipleship.

Hayley Senger
Hayley is serving long-term in Thailand with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), dedicating her first years to learning the Thai language and immersing in the culture. Alongside language study, she is part of a ministry called Oral Bible Translation, working to bring the gospel to people whose languages lack a written form, enabling them to access the Bible in their own language for the first time. Her mission is to help these communities experience the transformative message of Jesus in a way they can understand and share, answering God’s call to bring His Word to all nations.
The Timothy Initiative
The Timothy Initiative believes the best way to fulfill the Great Commission is by making disciples who make disciples and planting churches that plant churches. Through TTI’s training, local leaders equip Christians with the necessary tools, resources, and strategies to reach their nations for Christ.
Temple Senger
Temple is serving long-term in Thailand with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), focusing her first years on learning the Thai language and immersing herself in the local culture. Alongside her language studies, she is involved in a ministry called Oral Bible Translation, helping to bring the gospel to people whose languages have no written form, allowing them to encounter the Bible in their own language for the very first time. Her mission is to help these communities experience and share the message of Jesus, following God’s call to spread His Word to every nation.
Missonaries
Dave Fraiser
Dave worked in the public school system as a teacher for 11 years, where he coached a variety of sports, including 4 years as a varsity boys basketball head coach, where he was involved with FCA and has seen the first-hand impact in the lives of coaches and athletes. Dave is excited to give back to an area that has made him who he is today. God is using his lifelong love of sports and Jesus, his strengths of leading and building relationships, and his experiences teaching, coaching, and managing to culminate into this position. Mitch & Abbey Frederickson
Mitch is on staff with Young Life in the Northern Twin Cities serving high school and middle school students in the Mounds View, Roseville, and Irondale communities. Young Life's mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Young Life does this by going where kids are and building relationships with them, earning the right to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, and inviting them to respond to the Good News and walking with them regardless of their response!
Jess Drayer
Jess is on staff with Young Life and is dedicated to serving high school students within the Centennial school district. Young Life is a relationship-centered ministry, with the mission of introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Young Life reaches kids by going where they are, and seeks to know and love each kid that is encountered. By prioritizing authentic relationships and consistently showing up for young people, Young Life establishes trust and credibility, "earning the right" to share the Gospel with high schoolers.
Karl & Chelsea Hengeveld
Karl serves on the Dubbing Parternships team within Jesus Film. This team works with other missionary organizations such as YWAM, training local staff in how to record the Jesus Film themselves. Chelsea serves with Destino, a campus minsitry of Cru that uses a Latino-cultural value system to do ministry and engage more college students with the gospel. She has the privilege of coaching student leaders from over 15 campuses across the country to launch new Destino movements at their universities.
Every person that is saved by Jesus shares the privilege and responsibility of taking his good news to people around the world. Some may be called to move their families internationally, others are called to be traveling evangelists, and many are given the gifts to provide resources and support. Together, even one local body of believers like Renovation Church can help pass on the great truth of salvation to all the nations.
